It depends where you are.  I live on the Lower East Side, so it’s most likely the pigeons being cooked in Chinatown.  In Murray Hill, it’s caked vomit from people hitting up all the douchey bars up there.  In Brooklyn, it’s the people who only shower once a month.  And the subway has a melange of olfactory delights, but “hot sick” is the overwhelming aroma.
